As Director of Wealth Management at The Putney Financial Group LLC, Kelly brings more than 35 years of wealth management expertise to the firm and clients. She offers financial, estate, retirement and life planning strategies, along with multi-generational investment education. She also assists clients with the navigation of their philanthropic initiatives.
Kelly is known for her dedicated and outstanding client service. In 2014 she was recognized by San Francisco Magazine, who named her one of San Francisco’s Five Star Wealth Managers and was selected as one of the San Francisco Business Times’ Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business for 2015. She was also named to Barron’s List of 2015 Top Independent Financial Advisors in California.
With her Putney team, Kelly strives to achieve superior investment results while implementing strategies consistent with each client’s individual goals, objectives and risk tolerance. She develops, executes, manages and monitors investment portfolios for individuals and families. She builds portfolios using an open architecture approach and non-proprietary investment products that suit each client’s individual needs. Kelly takes great pride in taking a holistic comprehensive approach towards helping to create secure financial futures for clients. She and her team incorporate the client’s other trusted advisors to drive optimization, success, and collaborative expert results.
Prior to joining Putney, Kelly was a Managing Director and Partner at Presidio Capital Advisors in San Francisco, California. Kelly joined Presidio in 2004 and left the firm in the fall of 2016 to focus on philanthropic engagements. Kelly worked at Montgomery Securities and Banc of America Securities for twelve years, Morgan Stanley for close to a decade and started her career at Merrill Lynch in 1983. She holds Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, and her California Insurance License is #0M76916.
Kelly earned her B.S. Degree in Finance and Management from Indiana University where she was also a Division I collegiate athlete and Team Captain. She was born and raised on Long Island, New York and moved to California after college. Kelly is enthusiastically involved with church, community and volunteer work. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, running, biking, making art and being outdoors surrounded by nature.
