Financial and investment strategies tailored to your needs and history

At The Putney Financial Group LLC, principles are non-negotiable. They help set the foundations for strong and lasting personal relationships with our clients. We often serve multiple generations of the same families as we share the same principles.

Every team member is the embodiment of this principle. It is one of the absolute screening criteria to join our firm. You can’t teach caring, it is a character trait. Our team members are loyal and long term, some have been with us for decades. They are committed to providing outstanding service to our clients; it is part of their nature.

Our Wealth Management Process is planning based.  We take the time to help you understand fully the challenges, opportunities and options before you. Most importantly, we focus on the necessity of knowing where you are now, where you need to go, and when you need to be there. These components, integrated with a detailed analysis of your risk tolerance allow us to establish your financial plan.  It is focused on delivering the right amount of cash flow with the appropriate amount of risk.

Each client has a Wealth Manager who helps define goals, creates a plan and monitors success.  Each client's personalized financial plan is based on their own circumstances.  We develop strategies which are personal and clearly focused on understanding both the fears and aspirations of our individual clients.  We focus on our client objectives and not on trying to beat a random investment benchmark.  Every client’s needs are different.  At Putney, clients can expect customized service that will help them reach their goals.

This piece depicting a snowy day on Fifth Avenue in New York is looking north up Fifth Avenue from the New York Public Library. The focal points of the painting are the two famous Library Lions that are the sentinels to the entrance of the library. Known by locals as Patience and Fortitude the world-renowned pair of marble lions that stand proudly before the majestic Beaux-Arts building at Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street in Manhattan have captured the imagination and affection of New Yorkers and visitors from all over the world since the Library was dedicated on May 23, 1911. Here at Putney we believe that these two Lions are aptly named for the attributes that are important to have when considering investing in today’s markets. (Ray Lent Collection)
